Tamara is the Dean of Teaching and Learning Innovation at Ormiston College and facilitates the College’s directions in 21st century teaching and learning. She coordinates regular innovative ICT professional development workshops for teaching staff as she believes that building capacity is the cornerstone of a contemporary school. In addition to developing a broad base of digital skills, these workshops are specifically targeted at enabling staff to plan, prepare and deliver 21st century teaching and learning through online collaboration. In 2016, Tamara was awarded the Excellence in Educational Leadership Award by the Australian Council for Educational Leaders in Queensland, and the Australian College of Educators Fellowship Award for her demonstrated leadership in implementing educational initiatives to improve outcomes for students in 21st Century environments.

Could Microsoft’s Hololens revolutionise the future of education? Come and explore the new augmented reality technology to see how students are using the holographic computer to engage, explore and create digital content in their real environment. Learn how our students are using the device to provide peer feedback on student work, create multimedia videos using high definition holograms and engage with their work in a visual and tactile environment. This session is designed to show you what is possible and to ignite new ideas and creative thought. 

BREAKOUT SESSION 3 – Digital Portfolios using OneNote

A digital learning portfolio is an ongoing learning space. It can capture the process students use to create knowledge through designing, goal setting and reflecting. With new and emerging technologies, students have the opportunity to reflect on these processes using multimodal tools, including text, video and audio tools, screencasting and annotations.

In this session, come and learn how to create real time digital portfolios using the cloud based application OneNote Class Notebook. Learn how to create dynamic, synchronised notebooks with your students to share content and collaborate in real time.
